Netflix’s ‘The Rain’ Is The Perfect Binge-Worthy Show to Save For a Rainy Day
It's a new week, which means it's time to binge watch another show on Netflix, and this week's watch did not disappoint.
Per usual, Netflix plopped something in my preview header that they knew I'd probably love based on my previous viewing habits, and after watching the trailer for The Rain, I was hooked.
If you love post-apocalyptic shows like The Walking Dead, The Handmaid's Tale or Jericho, then you'll really enjoy the Danish TV series,The Rain. The one thing you might not like is that it's dubbed in English, giving it a cheesy quality; but I got so wrapped up in the concept that I quickly got over that.
Let's see if you can pick up on the plot by watching the original trailer, which has English subtitles.
Did you get all that?
Basically, two siblings manage to survive a rain storm that wipes out most of Scandinavia; after leaving the bunker that protected them for six years, they search for other signs of life while trying to find their father, who had something to do with the rain-carried virus that killed thousands, and survive in the process.
Here's my review of the first episode.
I did manage to watch the entire season yesterday and I won't spoil anything for you, but there definitely needs to be a second; there are so many questions that I have that never got answered.
