Facebook introduced a new feature today allowing you to name a friend to take over your account in case of death.

Sounds kinda morbid, doesn't it?

The thing is, if I am going to die, I'm not really interested in making sure I have someone take over my Facebook page.

I just don't care enough.

On the other hand, some people do care. Maybe, they'll see it as some kind of memorial.

Here's the reason why I'm not a fan. Can you imagine how creepy it would be to just scroll through your Facebook feed and then all of a sudden see a post from a friend who passed away?

Well Facebook feels the same as I. That's why they made a few rules.

This is what you can and can't do if you are in charge of a "legacy" account on Facebook.

In order to name someone to takeover your account in case of death, you'll need to go to security settings and find "legacy contact", click "edit" then follow the prompts.
