Almost every tire shop offers a disposal service for a small fee. If the tire isn't in awful shape, ask on Facebook if anyone needs a good tire to make a tree swing.

Lead Acid Batteries

Your car battery is something you need to be recycling. Find the nearest center, if you're in the Rockford region, Keep Northern Illinois Beautiful (KNIB) is a great place to recycle many items that are illegal to put in the trash at the curb.

It shouldn't be tough to find an auto service center that will take used (or unneeded) oil.

A New Recycling Center is Now Open in South Beloit

The South Beloit Recycle Center, located at 624 Eastern Avenue, is now open, according to wifr.com. Drop off your items from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Saturday of each month.
