Hallelujah! Ding Dong the street is fixed! The days of hazardous driving on what is arguably one Rockford's worst streets is finally a thing of the past.

Anyone who travels on Rockford's east side has probably come across what, for years, has been one of Rockford's most challenging stretches of roadway to travel on.

The City Of Rockford took to social media today to proclaim that the hazardous stretch of Lyford Road between Rote Road and Royal Creek Rd has finally been repaired. Here are the before and after pictures:

Of course, some on social media have gone as far to speculate that the road may have been repaired because of the fact that Lyford Road leads directly to the potential new Hard Rock Casino.

Either way, we are happy that extra 1% sales tax we are all paying is going to something beneficial.
