Growing up, I didn't go to many IceHogs games like a lot of families.  My parents aren't huge sports fans, so we never really went down to the former MetroCenter to catch the games.

As I got older, I realized I loved hockey!  Coming from a non-sports family, I didn't think I'd love any kind of sport, let alone watch it in person.  After going to my first few games, I fell in love with the sport.  Now, I try to go as often as I can even if that means going alone.

One Of The Best Weekend Activities To Do With Family in Rockford

If you need weekend plans asap, an IceHogs game is a pretty solid idea.

This Saturday, April 12th at the BMO, you not only get to see a hockey game, but you can celebrate Hammy the Hog's birthday!  He'll be there with tons of his mascot friends, too.
