Pop Up Mini-Concerts Along Sinnissippi Bike Path in September

Mark you calendar for Saturday, September 12. The Sinnissippi Recreation Path will be alive with a little bit more than runners, walkers and bicyclists.

Strolling along the Sinnissippi path is one of my favorite things to do. So many great things to see and enjoy, even to smell, when the food trucks are there. On September 12, the one addition that makes everything better... live music performances.

Several musicians from the Music Academy in Rockford will be set up at gazebos along the path near Nicholas Conservatory and Garden-Eclipse Lagoon Teahouse and another at the SwedishAmerican Riverfront YMCA.

The performances will begin at 2:00 p.m., they are free to attend but donations are welcome. Go back and forth between the gazebos or even bring a lawn chair.
