Rejoice! Illinois Driver’s License Renewal Period Gets Extended

Secretary of State Jesse White has given us an extension on the renewal deadline, but there's still one piece of bad news.

If you have a driver's license expiring in October, November or December, this news will come as a great surprise. The old renewal deadline was November 1, 2020, it has now been extended to February 1, 2021.

That piece of bad news...

I was hoping the license plate sticker renewal deadline was going to get extended, as well. But that isn't happening. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's been trying to hang on all that money it now takes to get a new sticker. The Secretary of State's office says the deadline of November 1, 2020 for stickers, will remain the same, since it's so easy to do online. Hey Jesse, inconvenience is not why we haven't renewed yet. We're just trying to hang onto our money as long as possible.
