The last few weeks have been very difficult. The COVID-19 pandemic is difficult for everyone. For those most vulnerable, this day was much needed.

Harlan Jefferson is absolutely the hardest working and most giving musician in the Rockford area. When this multi award-winning musician is asked to show up for his community, he always seem to create time to show his heart.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made life so lonely and difficult for nursing home patients. These patients are in the most at-risk age group and that means often not being allowed to family at all. Loneliness is one of the most painful emotions.

Along with Transitions Hospice of Rockford, Harlan Jefferson serenaded area nursing homes with the kind of peace and stress relief that only music can provide.

"This is what I do for a living. This is what I was born to do, whether it's one person or 10,000", said Jefferson

I'm so thankful 23 WIFR captured some video.
