Getting out for some fun after work can sometimes be difficult to do, so here's a chance to do something fun in the middle of the day. It might just be your new favorite way to take your lunch breaks, at least on Thursdays.
Rockford's Downtown River District has created a great new way to do lunch outside.

What is Beats & Bites
Every Thursday this summer at the southeast corner of State and Church Streets in Downtown Rockford, indulge in delicious food truck eats, music, and contests with prize giveaways from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The River District and the Rockford Area Convention and Visitors Bureau have a variety of food trucks lined up each week as well as a different theme for each week's fun and prizes.
