Rockford’s Cliffbreaker’s Is Ready For Your Wedding And Other Events

It's been a long haul but Rockford's Cliffbreaker's is ready for your wedding and other big events.

The hotel and and event center joyfully announced on Facebook that their events rooms were ready to be booked for whatever grand occasion you have coming up in 2018.

Wow! The transformation is pretty amazing to say the least.

Now, as for the 84 hotel rooms they are still undergoing the re-vamp process.

General Manager Andy Bridwell told WIFR that the rooms "are on track to be completed this spring or early summer. New furniture, electronics, doors, and bathrooms are being added to the newly renovated rooms and updates are also being made to the pool and fitness room."

So it's safe to say that by the end of summer or early fall the hotel and event center will be completely restored to it's once former beauty.

Management told WIFR that there will one more change coming after the renovations. that is the hotel's name. Once it becomes part of the Ascend Hotel Collection by Choice Hotels the name will be changed.

Interesting. I wonder what it will be called?

I well remember how classy Cliffbreaker's was when it was built and first began in the early 90's.

It was truly sad when I was there for an event not too long ago. (I think almost 4 years ago.) The place looked shabby, rundown and just tired.

I wish them well in the new chapter of the hotel's life.
