Rockford's Discovery Center Museum has announced that they received a grant from the Illinois Arts Council Agency, which has made a paid summer internship program for graduating high school seniors possible.

This Summer Youth Internship Program is specifically for teen graduates who "are looking for an opportunity to make use of their own art, graphic design, and computer skills to design art and art projects related to the museum's weekly special events and the outdoor Secret Garden."

This Summer internship will last nine weeks, June 10 through August 10, and each intern will need to be available 19 hours a week, and will get paid $9.00 per hour.

Interested candidates must send a cover letter and resume to Sue Stevens at sues@discoverycentermuseum.org by Friday, May 10, 2019 to be considered.
