This week the Chicago Blackhawks made a monstrous announcement, their long-time goalie Corey Crawford would be returning to the team.

'Hawks Nation was rocked by this news, to say the least. But, it's hard to argue this wouldn't happen soon. Chicago's biggest hockey stars are nearing an end to their contracts or getting old, in hockey years. Despite the surprising news, many Blackhawks fans shared thank-you's and memories of Crawford instead of slapshotting obscenities at the team.

One of those fans is Mike Davis of Rockford, notable for his singing skills in bands Rollin' Whiskey and Whiskey Dogs.

If you're questioning his dedication to the team just add him on Facebook. You will have no need to watch any Chicago Blackhawk's game because he will literally provide play-by-play for the entire game. I asked Mike his thoughts on Corey Crawford's departure and he said this,

Corey Crawford went from a much-criticized goaltender to a beloved Chicago legend in his time with the Blackhawks. The 2013 and 2015 Stanley Cups which cemented the Hawks dynasty would not have happened without him. His legacy with the Blackhawks and the city of Chicago will forever be cemented.
On a personal note, it was a pleasure watching him grow up professionally before our eyes in his time with the IceHogs and his incredible career with the Hawks. Thanks for the memories. F****N YEA CHICAGO!!! WHOOOO!!!

Fans of the Rockford IceHogs and Chicago Blackhawks will always have a special place in their hearts for Corey Crawford.

Thanks, Crow!
