Auburn grad, Fred VanVleet wasn't selected last night during the NBA draft but he ended up finding a place to play ball anyway.

According to Jonathan Givony on Twitter, VanVleet will play for the Toronto Raptor's summer league team in Las Vegas.

The Rockford Register Star says two teams in the NBA reached out to VanVleet about drafting him but he turned them down.

VanVleet's drafting was contingent on him playing in the NBA's D League for two years.

VanVleet passed on the deal, telling the Register Star's Matt Trowbridge "slaving away for $20,000" was unappealing and "I've been an underdog my whole life. It isn't going to stop now. I am excited for the future and getting back to work."

VanVleet will now have to get to work in Las Vegas, just one step closer to living the NBA dream.
