The Only Way To Get This Chicago Pizza Is To Know Where To Look
For as long as I can remember, ordering, buying, and picking up pizza have been the same, no matter how old I am or where I live.
Just yesterday I ran across a video that changed the whole concept.
One_thousand_chicagoans on Instagram shared this video of them trying to find a "secret pizza alley" in the Windy City. Of course, being the pizza fanatic that I am, I immediately needed to find out more. After watching the entire video, one thing was for sure: I needed to find out more about Crust Fund Pizza.
Essentially, this is a charitable organization that relies solely on donations from pizza orders. Having raised over six figures for charities so far, things are going quite well for Crust Fund Pizza.
This isn't some kind of low-grade, low-budget frozen-pizza thing, either. This stuff is the real deal, the kind of thing that, if you were a pizza lover, you would be glad to purchase because it's gonna incredibly delightful. Instead, you just make a donation and get this pizza instead.

Here's how it works:
Once a month, Crust Fund creates a new pizza menu that, if you're signed up on their mailing list, which as of now I am, you'll find out sooner than later. Crust Fund Pizza organizer John Carruthers will post the menu on social media a few days before pickups, which almost always happen on Mondays. Find the link in the profile, fill out the order form, and then reserve a pizza and pickup time.

There is no mention of how much of a donation is needed to secure your supersecret pizza, but this whole thing sounds amazing.
I can't think of a more tasty way to be charitable, and there's a bit of a scavenger hunt aspect, too? I'm sold.
