Shedd Aquarium Free All September For Illinois Residents
There isn't a whole lot you can do in Chicago for free that's why this is such a big deal.
Shedd Aquarium isn't charging you an admission fee for the rest of September. All you'll need to do is show proof that you live in Illinois.
Finally, a perk for living in the Land of Lincoln, right?
The free admission covers the main galleries, and the Shedd's new exhibit Underwater Beauty. Just a reminder, you will have to pay for any food or drink while there.
The Shedd is also holding a few special events at night on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Block Club Chicago has a listing of all the special night time events. These events are free too!
Lastly, you might want to reserve your tickets now. The Shedd is bound to packed with people, so you might not get into the aquarium.
You can reserve your free ticket for $3 at sheddaquarium.org.
