Spend an Afternoon with Clydesdale Horses Sunday in Pecatonica

As a kid I was always fascinated by horses. Especially the world's most famous gentle giants, the beautiful Clydesdale. Now's your chance to get up close with one.

This week is actually National Clydesdale Week. What does this mean? Well it means that you have the opportunity to get up close and personal with these amazing creatures. We actually have a Clydesdale breeder right here in the Stateline area. And they are opening their doors to the public for free Sunday, September 25, 2016 1-5pm.

This is an "Open Barn" event put on by The Clydesdale Breeders of the U.S.A. and Behn Brothers Clydesdales. The barn is located at 17378 Kelley Road Pecotonica, IL. It will include a few different demonstrations with the horses. Here is all the info you need to know:

1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. - General Care and Grooming Demonstration
2:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. - Hitching Demonstration
3:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Feed Demonstration
4:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. - Open Barn
