Because everyone who's ever taken a Jell-o shot knows that they can be messy and sometimes not worth the efforts. But that's about to change.

When there's a party, I like to make dessert. But when the party is just for adults, I like to make Jell-o shots.

But not those messy Jell-o shots you serve in a cup and you have to awkwardly slurp and probably spill.

These Jell-o shots can be hand held. You can hold and bite them, no slurps necessary!

Here's the thing, I found this recipe maybe eight years ago and I always have to keep it bookmarked on my computer because it does not come up when you Google it.

The recipe is a spin off of a Kraft recipe for "Cosmo Bites" which was published to Kraft's website in 2008 when they used to have an adult alcoholic section. These days you literally have to Google "Cosmo Bites" to find it!

I always replace the lime juice with something more fun. This time I used lime Jell-o and replaced the lime juice with half watermelon Pucker and half margarita mix. Then I just boiled the water and went for it.

The best part about this recipe is that you only need a few things, vodka, Jell-o, some sort of juice and water. You can make them in mini muffin cups like I do, or you can make them in a pan and use a knife to cut them. So so simple.

Also, you can make them without alcohol too, just be sure if you're making both you keep the colors straight... but you're smart, you figured that one out already.

Green Jell-o shots for St. Patrick's Day, success!
