This is exactly the kind of adventure your warm Spring Saturday needs and you didn't even know it was there.

Four unique individuals with one great thing in common. They say no one truly succeeds until they take a great risk. This four decided to take a great risk. Now let me be clear, it's one thing to agree to something big while out with your drinking buddies, it's another thing to actually remember it and stick with it the next day. That story would be common; come up with a great product, a better way to make consumers fall in love with it and then give it a cool name. What's uncommon is what's happening at Rush Creek Distilling in Harvard, Illinois. Here's a true story.

Four locals were having a few at the local tavern. They’d been talking new venture. Something unexpected. Something seriously fun. It would be a distillery. Dedicated to craftsmanship, and genuine craft distilling. An asset to the community. The decision was made. The partners were all in. Make it right or don’t make it at all. They knew Rush Creek Distilling could raise the bar. It takes an adventurous spirit to make an adventurous spirit.

At Rush Creek, they make two whiskeys, one vodka and one gin and every ingredient in their spirits comes from somewhere very nearby. Tours and tastings happen every Friday at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m., Saturdays at 3, 5 and 7 p.m. and Sundays 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. Rush Creek has live music on Saturday nights. See their event schedule HERE.
