Stay Overnight in an Old Warehouse at This Unique Illinois Airbnb

Hotels are so 2020, we're staying in cool Airbnbs in 2021.

I just got back from a vacation to Arizona and while I was there I stayed at 3 really cool Airbnbs. Staying at these unique and cool places really made the trip that much better. Sometimes just finding a cool Airbnb and planning your trip around it is the way to go. I've done that as well and I had the best mini getaway ever.

So if you're looking for a local mini vacation, this Airbnb is perfect. It's called "The Owl House" and it's located in Galena, Illinois. Which if you've never been to Galena, it's a perfect local getaway.

The Owl House, named for the frosted windows depicting owls, is a 1200 sq. ft. warehouse turned residence. Built circa 1880, it's been used as a commercial warehouse for several Main Street businesses and even as a carriage house. It's since been completely renovated as a comfortable home perfect for your visit to historical & charming Galena, IL.

The inside of the house is seriously so cute and charming like the listing says. Galena is a great place to plan a visit for a mini vacation. And this Airbnb will really make the trip that much more fun. According to Airbnb -

This space was converted to a home in the 1980s. Recently remodeled, the Bench Street level has an entryway, full bath, kitchen, living room, dining area, and another seating area that includes a queen size sleeper sofa. The lower level has the "rock room" which serves as another sitting area for reading and listening to music on the record player, as well as the bedroom with a king size bed and bathroom. Off the back of the bedroom is a screened-in porch and small, private outdoor area.
