I talked about this last week and it looks like my prayers are finally being answered.

As a movie fan starved for some entertainment outside of watching flicks while sitting on my couch at home, it looks like I finally have somewhere to go.

As you know movie theaters have been closed across the country since the coronavirus made a massive impact in the US.

Since then, we've been regulated to Video On Demand releases and Tiger King on Netflix for some form of movie-like entertainment.

Well, Joe Exotic, move over, the drive-in has officially announced it's opening up.

My fave drive-in, the Midway in Sterling announced plans to reopen on May 22.

The Midway Drive-In will be opening for the season on Friday, May 22, 2020! We will be celebrating our 70th anniversary with a Summer Classics film series in addition to first-run movies...

The post also mentions how they will prepare for our "new normal" saying "We will soon be announcing new policies and procedures to increase your peace of mind while you are at the Midway."

Movie fans have been asked to leave requests for which "classic" they'd like to see on the big screen. You can add to the list HERE.

The Midway Drive-In is located at 91 Palmyra Road in Sterling, Illinois.
