Illinois Teacher’s Unwavering Positivity is a Blessing to So Many Families

The person that shows up when times get tough tells us a lot about them. When love and grace show up, it has transformational power.

There's an enormous amount of love and grace in a Rockton, Illinois classroom that one family feels doubly blessed to have felt. In fact, the author of a beautiful letter you're about to read is certain her family is just one of MANY who are blessed to have sent their children into her classroom.

That letter was a nomination for a special honor,

and that honor goes to,

Erin Rollinson from Rockton Grade School in Rockton, Illinois

Erin was nominated by Angie Brothers, she writes,

Our family has been blessed with having Mrs. Rollinson for 2 years. During the 2019-2020 school year, our middle daughter was in her 2nd-grade class. When covid hit & everyone had to e-learn, we were amazed by her ability to keep her connection with the kids on their google meets every day. Her attitude & positivity never wavered in what was a scary time for her as well......Fast forward to this year & our youngest daughter has Mrs. Rollinson. Our family has had some extenuating circumstances this year that made it difficult for our little one to keep up. Mrs. Rollinson has gone the extra mile through many zoom classroom chats when my daughter could not be in class. This is in Mrs. Rollinson's extra time that she should be spending with her family. She has been an advocate for our daughter ensuring that she receives any & all accommodations for her to be successful as well as helping us plan for her continued success in years to come. Somehow while doing all this, she communicates with us & supports us as parents. I really have felt that we are a team. I know that we are just one of many families that she blesses and she deserves a little extra recognition. Thank you!
