Teacher of the Week: Ms. Teeters from Olson Park Elementary

Congratulations to our newest Teacher of the Week, Ms. Teeters from Olson Park Elementary in Loves Park.

Ms. Teeters scored beautiful flowers from Broadway Florist and delicious cupcakes from Sugar Jones.

The winning nomination came from her sister, Jordann Teeters. Jordann writes:

Jericca is an excellent teacher and she is also my sister. This is her first year at Olson Park and also her 1st year as a special education teacher. As a big sister, I could not be more proud of the hard work and dedication she puts into her job every day. I am also a teacher and I am amazed and inspired by the drive and passion she has.

Many days the profession leaves her in tears feeling underappreciated and overwhelmed. I do my best to pick her up and remind her that she is such a valuable member of the teaching community. Nothing would lift her spirits more than to with an award she probably doesn't think she deserves, but we all know she does. Our world deserves more teachers like her."
