The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin construction today (May 13) on a stretch of I-39 in Ogle County.

According to WIFR, the work will require nighttime lane closures, and should take about two weeks to complete, (weather permitting).

While the work is being conducted, IDOT wants drivers to remember to pay close attention to changing road conditions, to obey all work zone signs and speed limits, to STAY OFF THEIR PHONES, and to try and plan alternate routes.
