The One Reason Why A Hot Dog Is A Sandwich

A debate sparked on Twitter earlier this week when a reporter, Jonah Javad, asked a professional football player whether or not he considers a hot dog a sandwich.

That's not all, Javad walked around and asked other players.

Here's the real reason why a hot dog can be classified as a sandwich. While hot dogs usually have their own space on a menu they are basically meat on bread.

This is what is the real clincher for me, what do you call an Italian or Polish sausage on a bun? You call it a sandwich.

There is no reason you can't call a hot dog a sandwich.
