If you're a regular listener of the Steve Shannon Show, you've probably heard our fun little segment we like to call #MakeMyMonday; and this week was particularly fun and special for me because it was on me and me alone to make your day.

Here's how the day played out.  First up, Heather. Heather and her co-workers recently lost a co-worker who left unexpectedly and they're heading into their busiest season at R&D Thiel in Belvidere. Heather simply wanted lunch for her and 5 others to help them get through the busy day; so I brought them Mary's Market.

After dropping off lunch I had to head to the gym for my noon workout, but right after I made at trip to Rockford Memorial Hospital to meet Christy and her mom, Sandy. Sandy missed two of her grandkids' birthdays and Christy's first ultra sound because she was in the hospital and all Christy really wanted was flowers delivered to her room. With help from Crimson Ridge, I was able to bring Sandy some beautiful tulips; her reaction was priceless.

The fun didn't end there. Carrie in DeKalb was working all day and wasn't going to get home until 9:30. She was worried about her husband being able to handle dinner for him and their three daughters. With help from Sweet Lenny and our general manager, Becky Riojas, we were able to have dinner from GrubHub delivered to their home. It worked out perfectly, as her husband was pulling into the driveway, so was dinner.

It was such a fun day and I'm so blessed to have a job where I can connect with people like Heather, Christy and Carrie. Thanks to everyone who called in and I can't wait to make your Monday next week.
