There’s An Enchanting Christmas Village With Over 6 Million Lights In Wisconsin
Christmas is happening in 2020, whether you're ready or not.
For the most part, this has been the fastest and slowest year ever and it's hard to fathom we're nearly at the end of 2020.
To me, I can't believe we're so close to Thanksgiving. After turkey day, it's the ramp-up to Christmas. If you're not exactly in the holiday spirit yet, 1. It's understandable, and 2. There's a place in Wisconsin that would make even the most Grinch-y of people warm up to Christmas.
In Somerset Wisconsin, about 4 and half hours from Rockford, sits Sam's Christmas Village.
This brand new holiday event will feature over 6 MILLION Christmas lights and a European-style Christmas market. Sam’s Christmas Village is going to be on everyone’s must-see list this holiday season.
There's a 500-foot light tunnel, an animated Christmas tree standing 50 feet tall as well as cabins for families that are looking to stay overnight.
Sam's Christmas Village & Light Tour isn't open quite yet, but soon. According to their website, Sam's will open on November 20 and run through January 2. Keep in mind, Sam's is closed on Christmas Eve but open on Christmas Day for families interested in visiting the village.
For adults, tickets are $12, kids ages 4-10 are $10, and children 3 and under are free. There's a mixture of drive-through and walkthrough only days at Sam's Christmas Village, so check out their website before making the trip from Rockford.
