It's been quite a while since I've seen my boyfriend get really excited about something; until last night.

We were driving down 251 toward Machesney Park when he saw a neon sign fixated to the middle of a new business development; it said, "Broaster Chicken." Just as we passed it, he says, "whaaaat? There's a new Broaster Chicken in town?"

He went on to tell me how much I was going to love eating their chicken; it was the absolute best. The thought of eating an entire box completely distracted him from the fact that there were two other businesses that would be joining Broaster Chicken in this tiny strip mall.

Other residents of Machesney Park are excited too, and not just for the chicken. Anyone who can't do their laundry from the comfort of their own home can now look forward to passing the time in a cozy booth with Chinese, wifi and wash and fold service. Video gaming, beer and wine could also be coming soon, too.

According to WREX, the project began in 2014 and it's near completion. Broaster Chicken, along with Happy Wok and the 24/7 Laundromat will be open some time in September.
