Near Rockford, the top-rated camping sites.

Resume

I am going to be totally honest with you, I am not a regular camper but I have done it plenty of times to know what's up. I much prefer an RV to sleeping in a tent but I have experienced both.

I went to Sturgis, South Dakota for the Motorcycle Rally several times. On those trips, I was in a recreational vehicle. That makes roughing it much better.

Though one of my favorite trips in college was driving to Arizona for Spring Break and we slept in a tent the whole time.

Requirements

There are a few things I am looking for when trying to find a good campsite. I want beautiful scenery and to feel like I am somewhere else.

I require relaxation, not a big party place. Having some activities is good too but not a lot of people around.

Pretty much looking for the ultimate chill spot.

Where

Of course, you can take a big cross-country trip adventure with your family but the great thing about camping that it is not necessary to have a fun time.

You do not have to go far because there are many excellent locations near Rockford. I did some research and here are some that should be on your list.
