If you're considering moving to a new place, why not consider the "best" place.
Better yet, two of the best places in America to live are not far from Rockford.
BOTH 90 MINUTES FROM THE FOREST CITY
You know, if you need to stay close because you have to commute to the area, these two might work just perfectly.
Stacker, a website that uh, "stacks" best-of lists, put together a Best Place to Live In Every State and two of the very best are real close.
HOME OF THE MORTON ARBORETUM
Stacker declared Clarendon Hills in Illinois as the best place to live. With a median home value of over half a million bucks, and a median household income over $100,000 it sounds pretty ritzy.
The Village of Clarendon Hills is known for its low crime rate, top schools, and high average home values. The family-friendly community is home to the Morton Arboretum, with 1,700 acres of natural wildlife, as well as a community theater that offers year-round events.
WELCOME TO WISCONSIN
On the other side of the border but still close to Rockford, is the second-best place to live that's really close to town.
Elm Grove, with a median home value of over $350,000, and a household income over $100,000, Stacker says it's the best place to live in Wisconsin.
The town is packed with small businesses and is home to Elm Grove Village Park, which has a community pool and sports facilities and serves as a popular summertime spot for family picnics.
OF THE TWO WHICH IS THE BEST?
Both seem perfect for families and they're close to big cities like Milwaukee and Chicago, so if you had to choose between them both, which would it be?
