
Illinois’ Top Unique Turkey Day Recipe Is Shockingly Boring
Thanksgiving always brings the usual suspects to the table: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, something topped with marshmallows, and the pie you swear you’re too full for but eat anyway. But this year, Allrecipes released a survey showing the most-searched-for unique Thanksgiving recipe in every state, and Illinois… well… we seriously underdelivered.

According to the survey, our “unique” dish is Glazed Carrots.
A recipe with exactly four ingredients: butter, brown sugar, salt, and white pepper. That’s it. We couldn’t even toss in a little cinnamon or nutmeg to pretend we tried.
