Victoria’s Secret At CherryVale Mall May Be In Danger Of Closing
Victoria's Secret announced yesterday they plan to shutter about 250 stores across the United States.
With 1,100 stores nationwide, Victoria's Secret seemingly has one in nearly every mall in the country including the Rockford area's CherryVale Mall.
There are 36 Victoria's Secret locations in Illinois and patch.com listed the Cherry Valley store as one of the possibilities.
In addition, Victoria's Secret parent company, L Brands, announced they would also be closing 50 Bath & Body Works locations across the United States.
In case you're wondering, there are two Bath & Body Works stores in the Rockford area. One at the CherryVale Mall and the other at Forest Plaza.
If you're looking for an explanation for the closures, patch.com says "Victoria's Secret reported net sales of $1.65 billion for the first quarter of 2020, compared with $2.6 billion for the same quarter last year."
