Financial abuse is a silent weapon in domestic violence, often controlling victims through subtle but devastating means. During YWCA Northwestern Illinois' Week Without Violence, the organization sheds light on this hidden issue and offers tools for prevention.

Raising Awareness About Financial Abuse During Week Without Violence

YWCA Northwestern Illinois is spotlighting financial trauma during its annual Week Without Violence from Oct. 21-26. This year's theme aims to bring attention to financial abuse, a less recognized form of domestic violence. Throughout the week, staff will participate in awareness activities like sidewalk chalk messages and informational events.
