Getting married this year? Know someone who is? I bet you do. As a self-proclaimed professional bridesmaid, I always know someone getting married and I'm always reading about the weirdest wedding trends, including these three new bouts of silliness.

Unplugged Weddings

The idea behind an "unplugged" wedding, is that phones are off limits during the entire night. While I support silencing phones during the ceremony and the speeches, isn't one of the most fun parts of the next day finding incriminating photos and videos on your iPhone?

#WeddingAllOverTheInternet

This is kind of the "plugged-in" wedding. Everything is instagram-able, tag-able, #love #2014SmithWedding #WeAreMarried #TooManyHashtagsMakeMeNauseous

You can actually set all this stuff up in advance and "track it" throughout the night or after the fun dies down. This is fun for internet lovers, but I think it leaves mom and dad... and especially grandma and grandpa out of the fun. You might want to think about holding a hashtag lesson at the rehearsal dinner.

Finally, my favorite,

You're Not Invited Card

Yep, you read that right. People are now sending "You're Not Invited," cards when they send out their invitations.

I suppose this is to let those "maybes" know to forget the new dress and manicure, and instead book a night on your couch with Ben & Jerry. The idea is to not keep people waiting around for an invitation they aren't going to receive.

But, really, in today's Facebook/Twitter world, pretty sure it doesn't take too long for you to figure out you get to spend a Saturday in June in your PJs.
