Hey guys, it's now socially acceptable for you to let yourself go as the new "dadbod" trend has gone viral.

My girlfriends couldn't stop talking about it all weekend. Wherever we went, my single friends were on the prowl for guys with "dadbods".

Not familiar with the "dadbod"? The term basically describes men who love to eat pizza, drink beer, rarely works out and doesn't have a total beer gut. It's taken social media by storm thanks to Clemson University student, Mackenzie Pearson. Pearson didn't come up with the term but it was her essay, "Why Girls Love The Dad Bod" for The Odyssey, that sparked the conversation.

"If you Build it, they will come." #DadBod thanks for the share @haleymclovin @fionanguyen95

Don't get me wrong, I think it's great that our society is finally starting to embrace the fact that it's OK to let yourself go, if you're a GUY.  Why are we praising them for letting themselves go but women are still constantly under pressure to lose weight after becoming moms?

I would love to live in a world where, as a woman, if you're a little overweight that you can still be attractive. I want to skip the gym, drink beer, eat pizza without judgement and still be desirable, too.

The "dadbod" is a great step forward in spreading the word that it's OK to have a normal body (thanks Leonardo Di Caprio, Seth Rogen, Jason Segal and Adam Sandler for getting the ball rolling on this one), but I'm not buying into it until "mombod" starts trending.

Are you digging the "dadbod" trend? Is this a do or don't?
