America’s Worst Chain Restaurant Has 15 Illinois Locations

The worst chain restaurant in America has been announced and I have to tell you I'm not at all surprised.

I don't like the idea of a "shared food experience." That means I'm not a fan of eating from the same pile of food as everyone else.

Call it a result of the pandemic or something else altogether, the thought of eating a buffet doesn't sound like a good time to me.

 WHAT IS THE WORST CHAIN RESTAURANT IN AMERICA?

Far & Wide ranked the 10 worst chain restaurants in America, and they include

• The Cheesecake Factory
• Red Lobster
• Olive Garden
• TGI Fridays
• Applebee's
• Buffalo Wild Wings
• IHOP
• Cracker Barrel
• Denny's

At the very top of the list is buffet joint, Golden Corral.

WHY IS GOLDEN CORRAL THE WORST CHAIN RESTAURANT?

Far and Wide refers to eating at Golden Corral as a "bad idea all around" and "Why risk your gut health by eating at this chain when there are buffets that sell things like delicious Indian food?"

They wrap up slaying Golden Corral by mentioning the restaurant "shouldn't be allowed to operate." Yikes.

Yelpers called the local manager "rude" and the food quality "awful" in their reviews.

There is one thing that is worth mentioning and a reason to eat at Golden Corral.

They offer many discounts and even free meals to current and former members of the military. Kudos to Golden Corral.

That style of food isn't for me, and I suspect Far & Wide agreed, but there's got to be a reason why it's in business.

There are 15 different Golden Corral locations in Illinois with the closest being in Rockford at 995 South Perryville Road.
