Sure, it's Fall right now, but let's get real... winter is coming... and it's coming quickly. Which means winter storms, and weird winter storm names.

Whenever I think of storm names, I think El Nino and Hurricane Katrina. Except for real, I just realized that Hurricane Katrina was a name and not a location. I promise I'm good at other things, like math...

Storms get their names before they actually occur. There are lists of storm names waiting for the storm to arrive, so that the weather world knows what to refer to the storm as, as soon as it begins.

The Weather Channel recently announced the winter storm names for the winter of 2015-2016 and I can't wait until we hear about winter storm YOLO. Yep, all the yeps.

YOLO... you only live once... is going to be a name of a storm this winter.

How did this happen? Well, The Weather Channel had some help naming these storms, Bozeman High School’s Latin Club in Montana assisted the channel in choosing the names.

Pretty sure there were some high school boys involved in that one.
