So you decided to move out of your parents' house. That doesn't mean they can't "buy" you things anymore.

I will now take this opportunity to point out to Sweet Lenny and Digital Rob that I have previously lived outside of my parents' house. I went to college in Iowa for four years and I lived in L.A. for almost a year, but to them this is the first time I moved.

They're wrong about that, but it is the first time I moved out of my parents' house, but close enough to stop by whenever I want... and "steal" their stuff.

I put steal in quotes because they know I took these things, but it's not like when I got there they had a bag marked "Michelle" with wine and medication in it. No. I went through all the cabinets, the fridge and my mom's desk and created my own bag full of things I need.

Which is really just things I don't want to go buy myself. They miss me after all so it's fine.

If I had to make a magical list of the five best things to "steal" out of your parents' house it would probably include an entire case of wine, a box of frozen cooked chicken, a kitchen table, their Netflix password and the ceiling fan, but since that's a little far fetched, I kept my list to things I have actually "stolen" from my parents' house this week.
