7 Fancy-pants Grilled Cheeses You Can Only Get in Rockford

Happy National Grilled Cheese Day! I don't know about you, but I had no idea Rockford was filled with such amazing cheesy choices for today (and every day).

I scoured the interwebs so you can pick your favorite for lunch or dinner today to celebrate. But let's get real, any day is pretty much a great day for fancy-pants grilled cheese.

1. Meatloaf Grilled Cheese, rkfd - "house made meatloaf with sriracha ketchup, cheddar and gruyère cheese on toasted challah bread." Sriracha ketchup might be a little spicy for me, but I bet you can handle it.
2. The Avocado Grilled Cheese, Mary's Market - Not only does Mary's have avocado grilled cheese, they also have Classic Three-Cheese Grilled Cheese, Caprese Grilled Cheese, Gourmet Grilled Cheese, Brie and Apple Grilled Cheese and Pesto-Artichoke Grilled Cheese.
3. Pork Grilled Cheese, Octane - "butterkäse, mozzarella, heap-o-pulled pork, caramelized onions, butter-toasted country bread." Absolutely the fancy-pants version of "ham and cheese, melted please."
4. Chewy Grilled Cheese, Rockford Coffee - "4 slices of Cheddar, Salted Potato Chips, Pepperoncini." Potato chips in my grilled cheese? Every adult that acts like a kid's dream!
5. Grilled Cheese, Lucha Cantina - "Huge grilled cheese with guac, spinach and bacon. Hand cut fries and tomato soup come on the side." Holy moccasins, you're telling me I can go to Lucha Cantina and get a guacamole, spinach, bacon grilled cheese? Those are only my favorite ingredients ever.
6. The Ultimate Grilled Cheese, Garrett's - "Three cheeses, fresh asparagus, applewood bacon and tomato on grilled challah." Asparagus in your sandwich is the epitome of fancy-pants.
7. Grilled Cheese, Target - I know this isn't crazy fancy-pants, but I'm not kidding when I tell you that it's delicious, it's also probably the most economical.
