A poster for the upcoming New Line Cinema movie, Mean Moms, has been making the rounds on the internet but it's only half right.

Darn it. Earlier this week I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed and did a double take when I saw a shared post featuring a movie poster for what people are saying is an actual sequel to Mean Girls, appropriately called Mean Moms. At first I questioned it, much like the rest of the internet. There's a new movie called Mean Moms? Why haven't I seen or heard anything about this? People took to social media, including me, to see if it was real. Unfortunately, it's not...entirely.

The most credible source in Hollywood, Variety, busted all of our bubbles by clearing up the rumors about the movie poster.  It's not all bad news, though. New Line Cinema confirmed that Jennifer Aniston is still on board for the film, which means it's actually happening; but Sandra Bullock and Cameron Diaz are not confirmed.

Another misconception about the film is that it's going to be a sequel to Mean Girls. Wrong. Again, darn it. Mean Moms is a film about competitive parenting and it's being produced by New Line Cinema; Mean Girls was produced by Paramount.

New Line is still looking for a director, and contrary to what the internet said, it's not being released in May. No release date has been set as of yet but you better believe a lot of people will be waiting, patiently.
