This week is Shark Week on the Discovery Channel and Aaron Rodgers describes his "terrifying" experience for his taped segment.

About a month ago he shared a slight glimpse of his one-on-one experience via his Instagram page but didn't go into too much detail.

Rodgers was recently on Football Morning in America with Peter King and was opening up about his "terrifying" face to face encounter with a shark.

Telling King:

"I was just thinking about what the expert they brought in had told me. He said there's three sharks in the water. There's the blue, the white, and the mako. The mako, if it's bigger than you, get out. If it's not, stay in and keep your eyes on it at all times. Never turn your back to it. The white, you look at it straight in the eyes the entire time. The only way it's gonna come near you is if you're not looking at it. And the blue, he's gonna come right up to you. When he comes up to you, he's got a long nose. You just Miyagi that."

Short and skinny of what he was told, keep eye contact with a white or small mako shark and he would be safe, but unfortunately that was not the shark that came up to the Packers quarterback.

He would have to get in touch with his inner Miyagi as he was approached by a blue shark. The shark came right up to him forcing Rodgers to place his hand on the shark's head and push him down gently.

Going on to tell King that things got to the point where he "blacked out":

"I was terrified. Honestly, I was blacked out," "It just came up to me and all I was thinking was, 'Oh my god it's actually happening. What do I do?' Okay, boom. I just moved his head down to the right. But it was fun. I have a different appreciation for sharks now. I'm okay with 'em."

And why would the Packers star QB go face to face with sharks? To overcome his fear of them. Stating that his two main fears were sharks and heights. Since he has no plans of jumping out of an airplane, concurring his fear of sharks was gonna have to do.

"I watched "Jaws" when I was a kid and always felt like they're in the water, out in the ocean water, and one's got my name on its back and it's gonna munch on me. I wanted to conquer that fear because I love the water. I love paddle-boarding."

Thankfully nothing went horribly wrong since Rodgers is set to report to training camp in Green By today. You'll be able to see his life-changing experience sometime on "Shark Week" as it airs on Discovery Channel all this week. (July 22-29)
