Aaron Rodgers is an absolute master on the football field. It's no surprise that he preps to host Jeopardy! like he preps to play football. Its all in the film, as they say.

Green Bay Packers quarterback. Aaron Rodgers, is no stranger to ridiculously hard work. To go into battle with his team takes a lot of preparation and intense focus. Turns out, he's applying the same intensity to his two-week Jeopardy! hosting gig. Seems like a lot for a guy who says he's not done with football. and yes, there are rumors that he'd like get the Jeopardy job permanently. His fiancé, actress Shailene Woodley, says he's quite a 'big nerd' at home

I'm pretty sure there's nothing about being Jeopardy! contestant, as Aaron once was, that compares to being the host. In order to pay proper respect to Alex Trebek, Rodgers knew he'd need to get to work to do the guest role justice.

Aaron Rodgers recently chatted on the phone with ESPN, and this is what he had to say about putting in the work to be the host of Jeopardy!,

"I watched hours and hours and hours of episodes, luckily Netflix has a few seasons, and I went back to DVR. But I had to watch from a different perspective -- from Alex's perspective. I couldn't watch it as a fan anymore."

And the 'pre-game' work didn't stop there.

"I took pages and pages and pages of notes. I wrote down every affirmative that he said to any type of clue. I wrote down how he would respond if they didn't get it right. I wrote down beat points of the show. I wrote down all the different ways he would take it to break. I wrote down the stuff that he said coming out of break. Literally, I studied for this like no other. I wanted to absolutely just crush it."

If I'm being honest, I don't watch a lot of Jeopardy!, but knowing this about my quarterback is going to change that... at least for one week. Aaron's guest host stint is for two weeks, so there's one more week to check it out.
