For the first time ever I have a cat living in my home. As a devoted dog lover, having a cat in the family definitely took some getting used to. I had to remember to clean the litter box. I had to remind myself that cats are pretty independent and that she may hang out in the basement sometimes not because she hates me, but because she needs a peaceful nap.

The biggest thing I have learned about cats though is that they are awesome! She cuddles me and my kids when we need some lovin', she plays when she's feeling frisky, she's the first one to greet me every morning and her chill attitude makes me feel calmer just by petting her soft, beautiful fur.
