This little dude wandered away from home and he may not 'find' his way back. Winnebago County Animal Services needs help finding his family or new one.

I'm pretty sure I know the exact sound you'll make when you see this dog. It's likely the same sound my wife and I made just moments ago.

Winnebago County Animal Services (WCAS) just took in a stray and as of February 2nd, his owners have not claimed him.

In an effort to be sure he does find a home, WCAS is giving county residents an opportunity to be pre-selected for adoption.

Do you know this dog with the crooked smile?

This male dog was found as a stray on 40th Ave in Rockford, Illinois. He was brought into animal services on 1/31.

Help Winnebago County Animal Services find this dog's family

Tell me your heart didn't just melt as you said,

"Awwwwwww. He's adorable."

Can you help WCAS find his family? If his family doesn't claim him, you may have a chance to provide his 'furever' home.

One WCAS Facebook follower asked a pretty important question regarding the 'pre-selected adoption' policy.
