WCAS Is Offering Discounted Dog Adoption Fees This Weekend

The New Year, New Best Friend Dog Adoption Event at WCAS

I can tell you firsthand that adopting a pet from an animal shelter is one of the most rewarding things I have experienced. Just knowing you gave an awesome animal a new chance at happiness makes you smile, and that is exactly what Winnebago County Animal Services hopes to accomplish this weekend.

This Friday and Saturday, (January 21 & 22, 2022), the adoption fees for dogs who have been waiting for a forever home at the shelter since 2021 will be lowered to $22. Here are the specifics from WCAS' press release;

“Start the New Year with your new best friend! WCAS is calling on you to make a resolution to adopt a dog in need in 2022!
All adoption fees will be just $22.00 for dogs at WCAS this Friday & Saturday who have been searching for their forever home since before the New Year. We have around 20 dogs who are sending "New Year, New HOME" vibes your way.

The discounted adoption fee will not only score you an awesome furry best friend but it will still include the same services included with all adoptions at WCAS; a wellness exam, spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations including a one-year rabies shot, flea and tick preventative, and more. All interested adopters can get ahead of the adoption process now by filling out an application at winnebagoanimals.org.
