When I was in high school, I never wanted my phone to die—being disconnected from social media for even a few hours felt like a nightmare with how fast my following was growing online.

Nearly 500,000 Charmast power bank chargers sold on Amazon are being recalled due to fire and burn hazards. The recalled units, model W1056, contain lithium-ion batteries that could overheat and potentially ignite. The recall was issued on December 19th, 2024 and affected about 488,000 units.
This recall involves Charmast power banks, model W1056. They were sold in black, blue, green, mint, pink and white colors. The brand name “Charmast” is printed on the front and “Model: W1056” is printed on the back. [cpsc]
