White Castle Massive Recall Hits Many US States—What About Illinois?
White Castle's Frozen Food Division announced a nationwide recall involving one of its most recognizable products, and while it may sound like a simple mix-up, it carries serious implications for consumers with food allergies.
According to the notice, White Castle is voluntarily recalling its Original Sliders frozen sandwiches after discovering that some packages were mistakenly filled with the company's Jalapeno Cheese Sliders. The issue is important because the Jalapeno Sliders contain milk and soy, two major food allergens that are not listen on the Original Sliders.

This recall is affecting all 50 states!

The affected product was sold in a 4-count carton with UPC # 0-82988-02969-3.
The boxes were shipped to retail stores—primarily convenience stores—across all 50 states between August and October 2025. The sliders have a best-by date of April 18, 2026, and contain either the lot code 9H203521 or 9H203522. [DELISH]
White Castle said the error occurred during the packaging process, when Jalapeno Sliders were placed in the wrong product boxes. As a result, the packing does not declare milk or soy as ingredients, which is super misleading, and creates a serious health risk for anyone with allergies or sensitivities to those ingredients.

So far, only one allergic reaction has been reported, and that actually prompted the entire recall. No additional illnesses have been reported at this time, but the company is taking action to prevent further risk. Consumers who purchased the recalled product are urged not to consume it and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. White Castle has emphasized that consumer safety is a top priority.
Make sure to always check labels and stay informed about food safety notices. Anyone who believes they've experienced an allergic reaction are prompted to seek medical attention immediately.
