A tractor stealing joyrider took his thievery to the Nth degree by cruising in reverse for five miles.

That's the story coming out of nearby Amboy, IL where Darrell Farringer stole a tractor early Sunday morning and drove it in reverse down U.S. Route 52.

Farringer's joyride took out road signs everywhere and finally ended when the tractor crashed into a garage. He confessed to the theft and joyriding later that morning and was arrested.

According to saukvalley.com, "Farringer is charged with three felonies – aggravated possession of a stolen vehicle, punishable by 4 to 15 years in prison; criminal damage to government-supported property, which carries 2 to 5 years; two counts of criminal damage to property, which carries 1 to 3 years; and misdemeanor reckless driving."

If convicted, Farringer could face anywhere from one to 15 years in prison.
