Considering the vast culinary landscape of the US, it's truly remarkable that two distinct Illinois joints have secured a spot on this prestigious list.

The Robb Report says, "This list could have been much longer than our customary ranking of the top 10, as we expected numerous chefs and restaurateurs combining ambitious cuisine with outstanding service."

According to the Robb Report, Brasero is the seventh-best new restaurant in America. Order the grilled Wagyu picanha with chimichurri and pair it with half a lobster that's kissed by the fire and topped with miso-chili garlic butter."

Brasero is located at 1709 West Chicago Avenue in Chicago.

The other incredible new Illinois-based restaurant is Maxwells Trading.

The Robb Report loves the dinner and appetizers at Maxwells Trading but raved about the dessert, saying the "Basque butter cake is one of the best deserts we had anywhere in the country."
