Totally Worth It: The Best Tater Tots in Rockford

I don't know what's up, but lately I've been on a serious tater tot kick.  The greasy, crispy, salty little bites that hit every single time.  So naturally, I had to ask around.  Rockford never disappoints when it comes to food recommendations!

Let's start with my top choice: Ernie's Midtown Pub.  I'm not exaggerating when I say these tots HIT.  THE.  SPOT.  EVERY.  TIME.  Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, perfectly golden.  You know when you keep saying "okay, last one..." and then the whole basket is empty?  Yeah, Ernie's tots are that good.

I didn't realize there were so many other places around Rockford with really good tots, too!  Thanks for all the recommendations.  Now I'm making it a mission to try every single place to see who has the best.

I know there are way more places than this, but these were the top ones mentioned on Facebook.  Tots pair really well with burgers, chicken sandwiches, wings, or even dipped in ranch or cheese sauce.
