I'm sure all of us enjoy looking at the bumper stickers on other cars we encounter while driving, but I'm willing to bet most of us don't realize the negative side those stickers could be portraying.

For the record, I am not a fan of bumper stickers on my car. I'm not really into the static clings or vinyl appliques on windows either.  Does that make me boring? Maybe. Am I missing out on expressing my love or hatred for certain things in life? Possibly, but I just don't like ruining my car's paint job or letting people know I have 2 kids, 2 dogs, and a cat.

Why You Might Want to Think Twice About Putting Bumper Stickers On Your Car

Other driver's bumper stickers may make me smile or roll my eyes from time to time, but I can tell you I've never once considered what all those "my child is on the honor roll at (blank) school", "I love my (insert dog breed here)" and vanity license plates are really saying to other shady drivers until I saw this viral social media post from the Town of Boone Police Department in North Carolina...

Dang, that picture sure does make you think twice about putting bumper stickers on your car, doesn't it?

I would like to think most drivers wouldn't interpret your car decorations in the ways depicted above, but unfortunately, the world is full of shady people, so you can never be too safe.
